Permanent Brow Aftercare
To absorb excess lymph fluid, gently blot the area with a clean tissue until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents the hardening of the lymph. Wash your brows daily to remove any bacteria and dead skin each morning and night with the aftercare by Beauty by Britt, using a very light touch for several days. Using clean fingertips, gently cleanse the eyebrows in a smooth motion for 10 seconds, and rinse with warm water, ensuring that all cleanser is rinsed away.
To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue and allow to air dry fully for 10-15 minutes. Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to overapply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing or even pull the ink out. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin; never put the ointment on a wet or damp towel.
Avoid makeup on or near the brows, direct water pressure from the shower, hot/steaming water, swimming in lakes, ponds, pools, oceans, and saunas. No activities exposing the tattoo to dust, dirt, or sweating for at least 7-10 days post-treatment.
Avoid direct sunlight, tanning, and skincare products that contain active and exfoliating ingredients for 14 days, and no facial treatments for at least 30 days.
Sleep on a clean pillowcase and, if possible, on your back for 2 weeks post-treatment.
Let any scabbing or drying skin naturally exfoliate away; picking can cause scarring and/or loss of color.
The first touch-up should be done 6-8 weeks from the initial appointment. Ensure you wait long enough to see the full color before providing the touch-up session, but the brow color will become richer and darker after an additional 1-2 weeks.
