Permanent Eyeliner Aftercare

• Wash the skin around the eyes (morning & night) for up to 7 days or until flaking phase has ended, using the aftercare cleanser provided by Beauty by Britt, Inc. Using clean fingertips or the disposable applicator to cleanse gently. Pat dry with a clean gentle paper towel or let air dry fully for 15-20 minutes or until completely dry.

• Apply ointment 2-3x a day for up to 7 days - Avoid using any lash enhancements and serums. You only need enough ointment to absorb the healing properties. Do not saturate.

• Swelling, redness and a slight stinging sensation are normal for the first few days, a cold compress or soft gel pack can help give relief, especially in the morning.

• Avoid touching the eyes as much as possible to reduce the risk of infections.

• The color will fade approximately 30-50% lighter when the scabs fall off. This is normal. Do not feel discouraged if the fading is more than you expected, as we have the 6 week touch up for this reason.

• No eye makeup including mascara, direct water pressure from the shower, hot/ steaming water, swimming in lakes, ponds, pools, oceans and no saunas. No activities exposing the tattoo to dust, dirt and no sweating for at least 7-10 days post treatment.

• Avoid direct sunlight, tanning and skincare products that contain active and exfoliating ingredients for 14 days and no facial treatments for at least 30 days

• Sleep on a clean pillow case and if possible on your back 2 week post treatment

 

DO NOT PICK AT SCABS OR PEEL THEM OFF

 

• Flaking & crusting on the tattoo area may occur, avoid pulling off the scabs that are hanging on your lashes. Ensure the scabs are soft enough to slide off from the lashes, use a mascara brush to help remove the loose scabs if needed.

• The 1st touch up should be done between 6-8 weeks from the initial appointment. Ensure you wait long enough to see the full color before providing the touch up session, but the eyeliner color will become richer & darker after an additional 1-2 weeks.
