If you are using any of the following medications, you can not be waxed today:

BEFORE YOU WAX:
-
Hair must be ¼ - ½” long for all successful waxing.

Waxing does have certain side effects such as skin removal, redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness, hyperpigmentation, and pimples.

Waxing of soft tissue may cause the skin to tear. Most commonly in a Brazilian bikini wax. For your personal comfort, avoid hair removal 2 days before and after your menstrual cycle.

Lightly exfoliate the area to be waxed 24-48 hours prior to your appointment.

Discontinue all use of retinoids and other chemical exfoliating agents at least 72 hours prior.

Stay out of the sun (artificial or not) for a minimum of 24-hrs prior to your service.

Wear loosely fitted clothes to your wax appointment.

AFTER YOU WAX:
-
Avoid excessive sun exposure for 72 hrs.

Do not tan for 72 hrs!

Wear SPF 30+ with broad spectrum coverage on exposed waxed areas.

Avoid using any oil-based products or chemical treatments for 72 hrs.

Avoid excessive sweating, saunas, swimming in pools or the ocean and hot tubs during the next 48 hrs.

Avoid sexual activity if waxed in intimate areas for 24-48 hours.

Gently exfoliate after 72 hrs and every 3-4 days to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Do not pick at peeling skin or touch it for 24-48 hrs to prevent infection.
